Level Up · Personalised Fitness Studio · Round 5
Twelve logos where the icon is built into the lettering, so the name and the symbol are a single shape. Each is shown large, on black, in one colour and as an app icon.
Two exercises are named after letters, the L-sit and the V-up, and both letters are in the name. Here they are drawn as athletes holding each pose, so the word itself is working out.
The U of UP is an athlete hanging from a pull-up bar. The sides of the U are the arms, the head sits between them, and the rest of the name stays solid and easy to read.
The name itself is the weight. LEVEL UP is loaded onto a bar with plates at each end, and an athlete presses it overhead. The app icon keeps just LU on the bar.
The bowl of the P is a 20 kg competition plate in its official blue, and the counter of the letter becomes the hole for the bar. Quiet from a distance, clever up close.
The whole logo is a kettlebell. LEVEL runs round the handle and UP is cut out of the bell, so the name and the icon are one shape that works as a sign, a stamp or an app icon.
LEVEL stands on the floor and UP has jumped onto a plyo box, one full level higher. The dotted line is the jump, and the box keeps its hand-hold slot.
The V of LEVEL is a heart. Its two arms end in round lobes, so the letter still reads as a V while the word carries a quiet message about health.
The V of LEVEL is a medal ribbon, with a gold medal hanging from its point. Every client is working towards a personal best, and this letter hands it to them.
The last L of LEVEL is a leg in a trainer, stepping forward toward UP. It suits a studio built around movement and cardio as much as lifting.
The whole name is mid-jump. A skipping rope passes underneath, held by a handle at each end, and the app icon keeps LU in the air.
The bowl of the P is a stopwatch, with the hand at twelve and the ring filling up. Every session is timed and every client's progress is tracked.
The U holds a flame, like the cauldron lit at the start of the games. The fire rises out of UP, and on its own the U makes a torch-like app icon.
These are concepts for discussion. The chosen logo will be refined and delivered as a full set: primary, one-colour and icon versions, in SVG and PNG, plus app launcher icons.
